Rethink Recycling

We have been working with Rethink Recycling Co-op Ltd, collaborating on their new school incursion programs. Working together on a project like this is important as it increases the reach of both organisations, while playing to our strengths and experiences.

Rethink Recycling have been inspired by the Precious Plastic community, highlighting the link between machines and education. Frustrated by the lack of structural support, the team at RRC have taken it upon themselves to reduce the plastic recycling problem by creating innovative machines, creative products and educating the community as they go. Connecting with PPM earlier in 2022, a partnership was formed to aid mutual collaboration between both organisations. From the Precious Plastic Monash perspective, having this relationship with an external organisation has been incredibly rewarding, allowing members of our leadership team to see what a more industry-level organisation looks and functions like.

Alongside our Marketing and Outreach divisions, our joint project worked to refine the slide decks, reaching a primary school aged audience with engaging graphics and informative material. Our Operations division has also been a key player, working on formalised partnership agreements which expands our skill set.
